Hello everyone, this is HUANG Jing and you can call me Luna. I come from mainland China. I used to major in social work during 2013-2017. In order to get more academic knowledge and learn more about  IT in education, I applied for this programme. Emmmmm.....to be honest, I don't know why I choose this programme. It looks great!

Hello everyone, I'm Ray. I'm teaching ICT in secondary school for more than 10 years.

My name is Civen. I am currently an English primary school teacher. This is my fourth-year teaching. Over the years, I have become increasingly interested and active in integrating technology into my teaching. I find that integrating technology changes the usual teaching and learning dynamic. There are additional steps and measures that need to be considered. With technology, there isn’t one IT application that does everything, each has its own strengths and limitations. It is important to choose the IT application that allows you to achieve the learning objectives of the lesson, enhance students’ learning and not hinder it. 

As such, I have become fascinated as to how I can better integrate technology and the impact it has on students’ learning. I have been inspired by the SAMR model which shows the different levels on how technology can be integrated. I am interested in using technology at the modification and redefinition level. Instead of merely using technology as a substitute, I try to incorporate activities that make use of the strengths of technology. For instance, through using Seesaw, students can share their work and comment on each other’s work in real time. Since we have access to technology, I feel that we should be using it to move beyond the limitations and restrictions that we once had with pen and paper.

I hope that through this course I would be able to broaden my horizon as to what IT resources are currently available and how to best utilize them to enhance my teaching practices with technology. In addition, I would like to further develop my understanding on how to best integrate technology supported with theories and the direction of technology in the educational context in the future.
